Zero Max a/s - mechanical transmission of power

Rotorbrakes

Rotor brake type SHDZERO-MAX is exclusively Representative in Denmark for Stromag France “SIME S.A.”
SIME was founded in 1927 and 40 years later SIME is still recognized as the most experienced and reliable brake technology on the market worldwide. In 2001 SIME brakes became a key member of the German Stromag AG group specialized in power transmission devices.

For the last 25 years, SIME have gained an unrivalled reputation as key inventor and manufacturer of intelligent braking systems for wind turbines.

SIME breaks delivers today 2 types of braking systems for the rotor, SHD & BCH.

SHD

The hydraulic SIME fail safe SHD range is currently used by all wind turbine manufacturers and has been for years. With its unique design and its numerous technical advantages the SHD range cannot be equaled when compared to the other calipers available on the market today. Some of the SHD advantages are WACS (self Wear Adjustment & Centering System) and Compact mounting on gearbox flange or separate bracket.

BCH

SIME has created two generations of BCH. One can be used on low speed shaft (BCH85X) and the other can be used on high speed shaft (BCH85-CRT). The caliper BCH85X has been designed to be mounted on the LOW SPEED shaft of the wind turbine. It is a powerful active caliper. The caliper BCH85-CRT is the most intelligent HIGH SPEED brake on the market today. The exclusive CRT system allows a constant clearance between the lining and disc during the whole lining pad lift (fast response time) to prevent bad stresses on the machine drive train.

SIME brakes is:

  • Exclusive linings patented design ®
  • Especially design and developed for multi megawatt wind turbines
  • Up to 630.000N clamping force
  • Easy adjustment of the pads locating stop devices to prevent any tangential movement Increase seals life time
  • Easy lining pads replacement without dismounting the caliper body from the bracket save maintenance cost, especially for off-shore applications, Yaw applications, positive and negative engagement.
